President Donald Trump issued a stark warning to Iran on Saturday, local time, saying the United States would strike the country "as hard as last week" if Tehran did not immediately stop its proxy forces in Lebanon from causing trouble.
The warning came as the first working-level negotiations between the US and Iran got underway in Switzerland following the signing of a memorandum of understanding on an end of war between the two countries.
Vice President JD Vance, who represented the US at the talks, said Trump "urged moving to a new chapter in the relationship with Iran" and was "committed to achieving a full regional truce."
