Applications accepted July 6–16; annual interest rate of 1.5% with repayment terms of up to four years to support business stability and growth
Seoul's Eunpyeong-gu district is rolling out a third-quarter 2026 small and medium-sized enterprise development fund loan program to support the financial stability of local small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners.
The total loan pool for this round is 1.7 billion won ($1.12 million). Eligible applicants are small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners with a registered place of business in Eunpyeong-gu who have been in operation for at least six months after completing their business registration.
However, businesses that received a loan from the SME development fund within the past four years are ineligible, as are those in industries classified as luxury, entertainment or speculative — including lodging, drinking establishments, tobacco and liquor wholesale, real estate, and finance and insurance.
Applications will be accepted from July 6 to July 16. Loan limits are set at up to 200 million won for small and medium-sized enterprises, up to 70 million won for small business owners, and up to 50 million won for restaurant operators. The annual interest rate is 1.5%. Borrowers may choose between two repayment structures: a two-year grace period followed by two years of equal installments, or a one-year grace period followed by three years of equal installments.
Interested businesses and small business owners must first complete a collateral pre-consultation — either for a credit guarantee certificate or a real estate collateral assessment — at the Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation's Eunpyeong Comprehensive Support Center or at Shinhan Bank's Eunpyeong-gu Office branch, then submit an application to the Eunpyeong-gu Office's Employment and Economy Division.
"I hope this loan support will provide meaningful help to small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners struggling to secure funding," district mayor Kim Mi-kyung said. "We will continue to pursue a wide range of support policies to invigorate the local economy and promote business stability."
