Ulsan Dong-gu mayoral transition committee holds departmental briefings

The Ulsan Dong-gu mayoral transition committee, chaired by Han Seung-hyeon, held departmental briefings at the situation room on the second floor of the Dong-gu district office on Monday and Tuesday to begin the formal handover of administrative duties.

On Monday, the committee received briefings from the planning and budget office, the administrative support bureau, the education and welfare bureau and the economic policy bureau. On Tuesday, the marine environment bureau, the safety city bureau and the public health center presented their reports.

Through the briefings, the committee is reviewing the progress of key projects and major pending issues in each department, gathering a range of opinions on local concerns, and using the findings to set the policy direction for the ninth elected administration.

Mayor-elect Cheon Gi-ok said the committee would "carefully examine Dong-gu's key issues and work to bring about changes that residents can feel in their daily lives."

The transition committee comprises 15 members, with Han Seung-hyeon, president of the Korea Underwater Fin Swimming Association, serving as chair and Park Eun-sim, a Dong-gu council member, as vice chair.

Meanwhile, Ulsan Dong-gu has set "A New Dong-gu Built Together by All" as the governing vision for the ninth elected administration, pledging to build a vibrant community grounded in resident self-governance and solidarity.
