IS Dongseo to open model home for 'Pentahills W Complex 1' on Friday, offering 1,712 units

IS Dongseo announced Wednesday that it will open the model home for "Pentahills W Complex 1," located in Block A2-1 of the Jungsan District (Pentahills) in Gyeongsan, North Gyeongsang Province, on Friday, launching full-scale pre-sales.

The complex will rise from six basement levels to a maximum of 59 above-ground floors across nine buildings, offering 1,712 units with exclusive use areas ranging from 84 to 152 square meters — predominantly mid-to-large sizes. It marks the first supply from Pentahills W, which is planned as a 3,443-unit development overall.

The complex benefits from a strong location. Pentahills is Gyeongsan's largest mixed residential development, planned across a roughly 800,000-square-meter site to house approximately 10,000 households and 30,000 residents.

Residents will have convenient access to Sawol Station on Daegu Metro Line 2, with further transportation improvements expected once the Daegyeong regional rail line opens.

The educational environment is another draw. A new elementary school — tentatively named Jungsan Elementary — is planned to open in March 2029, and sites for middle and high schools are nearby. The Gyeongsan City Jungsan Library, hagwon clusters and a Starfield Market (E-mart) are also within easy reach.

Proximity to Daegu's Suseong-gu adds further appeal, giving residents access to the district's hagwon belt as well as cultural venues including the Daegu Art Museum, Daegu Gansong Art Museum and Samsung Lions Park.

The development's most distinctive feature is an innovative cross-shaped floor plan designed to maximize usable living space. Compared with a standard two-sided open apartment, the design provides roughly 8 to 11 pyeong (1 pyeong equals 3.3 square meters) of additional balcony extension area, yielding up to about 20 pyeong of extra usable space.

Flexible partition walls and an alpha room design allow residents to configure spaces such as a home office or media room to suit their lifestyle.

Premium systems befitting a supertall landmark round out the offering. High-speed elevators serve separate low-rise and high-rise zones to improve vertical mobility, and the complex provides approximately 1.86 parking spaces per unit, with 44 percent of all spaces built to an expanded-width standard.

A waterfront cultural complex called "Pentahills W Square" will also be developed alongside the residential towers. A multiplex movie theater, a large bookstore and a children's theme park are among the planned tenants, creating a one-stop lifestyle combining housing, shopping and culture.

"Pentahills W Complex 1 is the first large-scale new apartment supply in the area since 2021 and the first high-end landmark complex in Pentahills," a pre-sales official said. "Its differentiated product features — including a swimming pool, breakfast service and hotel-style concierge — combined with the effects of the reformed apartment subscription regime are expected to generate strong interest from buyers in Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province."

The apartment subscription schedule begins with special supply on Sunday, June 29, followed by first-priority applications on Monday and second-priority on Tuesday. Successful applicants will be announced July 7, with contract signings running from July 20 through July 22.

The Pentahills W Complex 1 model home is located in the Manchon-dong area of Suseong-gu, Daegu.
