Korea Real Estate Board wins Prime Minister's commendation for AI government contribution

The Korea Real Estate Board announced Wednesday that it received a Prime Minister's commendation at the ninth E-Government Day ceremony for its contributions to AI government development in 2026.

Since 2023, the board has operated Cheongak Doumi (Cheongak Doume), a public MyData service integrated into Cheongak Home, the national housing apartment subscription platform, to improve convenience for the public.

Key achievements include simplifying document submission for apartment subscriptions, reducing the rate of ineligible applicants and cutting associated social costs through accurate data linkage, and eliminating data silos between institutions to deliver better public services.

Some say the commendation recognizes the Korea Real Estate Board as a specialized real estate data institution driving digital innovation, beyond its core work in real estate price disclosure and statistics production.

Lee Jae Myung, head of the board's market management division, said the award reflected collective efforts by staff to build a transparent housing apartment subscription market and improve public convenience. "We will continue to actively leverage AI and data to provide convenient real estate services that people can feel in their daily lives," he added.

Meanwhile, the Korea Real Estate Board overhauled the Cheongak Home website and mobile application in March to make the apartment subscription process easier and more user-friendly.
