Korea Real Estate Board weekly apartment price survey
Dobong-gu up 0.46%, highest since 2018
Dongtan leads nation with 1.65% jump
Seoul apartment prices accelerated this week compared with the previous week, with outer districts leading the charge. Dobong-gu posted its highest weekly gain in seven years and nine months, while apartments in southern Gyeonggi Province — including Seongnam, Anyang and Dongtan — also surged.
According to the Korea Real Estate Board's weekly apartment price survey for the fourth week of June 2026 (as of June 22), Seoul apartment prices rose 0.3% this week, widening from the previous week's 0.27% gain.
Dobong-gu recorded the steepest increase in Seoul at 0.46%, driven mainly by transit-oriented areas in Chang-dong and Banghak-dong. The gain was the highest since the second week of September 2018, when prices rose 0.52% — a span of seven years and nine months.
Elsewhere in Seoul, Seongbuk-gu rose 0.41%, led by large complexes in Jongam-dong and Jeongneung-dong; Guro-gu gained 0.41%, driven by major complexes in Gaebong-dong and Guro-dong; Dongdaemun-gu climbed 0.38%, with small- and mid-sized units in Dapsimni-dong and Jangan-dong leading the way; and Jung-gu added 0.37%, with gains centered on Sindang-dong and Hwanghak-dong.
"Demand has been steady at major complexes with good living conditions and at those with development expectations, with purchase inquiries rising and contracts being signed at higher prices, pushing the entire city upward," a Korea Real Estate Board official said.
In Gyeonggi Province, Hwaseong's Dongtan district posted the highest gain in the country at 1.65%. Seongnam's Jungwon-gu rose 0.59%, led by major complexes in Geumgwang-dong and Eunhaeng-dong; Anyang's Dongan-gu gained 0.49%, driven by large complexes in Bisan-dong and Hogye-dong; and Seongnam's Sujeong-gu climbed 0.47%, with increases centered on Changgok-dong and Sinheung-dong — all surpassing Seoul's overall rate of gain.
Gwacheon bucked the trend, falling 0.15% as prices dropped mainly in Jungang-dong and Burim-dong. With declines spread across other areas as well, Gyeonggi Province's overall apartment price gain narrowed to 0.19% from 0.21% the previous week.
Meanwhile, Seoul's jeonse prices also rose at a faster pace, gaining 0.35% compared with 0.3% the previous week. Available listings continued to be absorbed at large complexes, sought-after school districts and transit-oriented developments, with contracts being signed at higher prices across the city.
Seongdong-gu rose 0.55%, led by large complexes in Hawangsimnidong and Seongsu-dong 1-ga, while Seongbuk-gu also gained 0.55%, driven by major complexes in Gireum-dong and Donam-dong. Guro-gu climbed 0.54%, with large complexes in Gaebong-dong and Gocheok-dong leading the way, and Dobong-gu added 0.53%, with gains centered on Chang-dong and Dobong-dong.
