BPA to resurface port access roads and logistics complex roads at Busan New Port

Busan Port Authority (BPA) announced Friday that it will carry out pavement repair work on port access roads and internal roads within the logistics complex at Busan New Port.

The port access roads and internal complex roads at Busan New Port are zones where road damage occurs frequently due to heavy vehicle traffic, including large trailer trucks. BPA said it conducts regular inspections to identify pothole-prone sections and will carry out repairs sequentially in areas requiring maintenance to prevent secondary damage from road deterioration.

The first round of pavement repairs on the port access road near the Ungcheon Bridge–Gyeonma intersection was completed June 21. BPA plans to analyze road conditions during the rainy season and carry out additional repairs in phases during the second half of the year. For internal roads within the logistics complex, BPA will conduct a first round of repairs June 28 and then assess pavement conditions before proceeding with further work.

"We will do our utmost to conduct frequent inspections and maintenance so that users of the Busan New Port access roads experience no inconvenience," a BPA official said.
