Ulleung-gun holds review session on eighth-term achievements and national budget strategy

Ulleung-gun in North Gyeongsang Province held a review session Friday to assess the overall progress of campaign pledges and major projects undertaken during the eighth elected term and to map out a strategy for securing national investment funding for 2027.

The session, chaired by Ulleung-gun County Chief Nam Han-kwon and attended by department heads, covered implementation of the county chief's eighth-term campaign pledges, plans for managing incomplete projects, and candidate projects for the 2027 national investment budget. Participants discussed strategies for advancing each item.

Ulleung-gun plans to conduct a comprehensive review of eighth-term pledge outcomes, wrapping up completed projects as achievements of the current administration, while linking ongoing projects and standout policy initiatives to ninth-term campaign pledges and major county programs for continued management and implementation.

Alongside this, the session examined the strategy for securing the 2027 national investment budget and reviewed the progress of major 2026 investment projects, with focused discussion on problems and countermeasures for each project.

Participants shared strategies for engaging central government ministries and outlined plans for future national funding, agreeing to strengthen the county's response framework to ensure projects are reflected in the government budget.

"The eighth elected term has been a period of relentless effort to keep our promises to residents," Nam said. "We will carry forward our achievements as assets of the county administration, and further develop incomplete projects in the ninth term so that residents can see and feel the results."
