Ulsan Women's Workforce Development Center seeks firms for women-friendly workplace program

The Ulsan Women's Workforce Development Center is recruiting companies and women technology entrepreneurs for its "Women-Friendly Enterprise AI·Digital+ Workplace Improvement Support Program," aimed at sustaining women's economic participation and promoting work-life balance.

Eligible applicants include companies where women make up at least 20 percent of the workforce, as well as those that have increased their share of female employees by 10 percentage points or more compared with the previous year. For the women technology entrepreneur track, eligibility extends to companies with a female chief executive founded within the past seven years, as well as prospective entrepreneurs who have yet to register a business.

Applications are accepted through July 24 either in person at the Ulsan Women's Workforce Development Center or by email at uw@usw.or.kr.

Selected participants will receive support covering up to 90 percent of total project costs. Eligible expenses include improvements to existing facilities such as women's restrooms and break rooms, as well as the creation of women-friendly digital work environments using smart-work equipment and AI tools.

Companies with between five and 300 full-time employees can receive up to 5 million won ($3,240) toward physical workplace improvements, including upgrades to women's facilities and office or work spaces.

A newly introduced "AI and digital work environment improvement" category will provide up to 3 million won per company to cover video-conferencing equipment and other smart-work devices, AI-related education and consulting, and subscription fees for AI and workflow-automation tools.

Women technology entrepreneurs and prospective entrepreneurs in the Ulsan area can receive up to 1 million won toward subscription fees for AI and workflow-automation tools, as well as content-creation equipment such as cameras and tablets.
