Businesses with annual sales under 100 million won now eligible
Up to 300,000 won over three months
Ulsan has eased eligibility requirements for its 2026 small business rent support program and began accepting applications Tuesday.
Under the revised criteria, the annual sales threshold has been raised from 50 million won ($32,300) to under 100 million won, and the previous requirement that sales had declined by at least 5 percent year-on-year has been dropped. The city also extended the business registration cutoff, allowing businesses that opened before Jan. 1, 2025, to apply — up from the previous cutoff of July 1, 2024.
Eligible applicants can receive up to 100,000 won per month for three months, for a maximum of 300,000 won in rent support.
Applications are being accepted through Sbiz24 (www.sbiz24.kr), a small business policy support platform, starting Tuesday and will remain open until the budget is exhausted.
"With the eased requirements, more small business owners will be able to benefit from rent support, and we encourage as many as possible to apply," a city official said.
Meanwhile, Ulsan is also running programs to help small businesses cover packaging material costs and employment and industrial accident insurance premiums. The packaging cost support program accepts applications through Sbiz24, while the insurance premium support program is handled by the Ulsan Economic Promotion Agency.
