Gyeongbuk Health College completes beauty care course for middle-aged welfare workers

Gyeongbuk Health College announced Tuesday that it had successfully completed a practical self-beauty course for middle-aged adults, offered as part of the RISE (Regional Innovation-Centered University Support) project.

The course was designed for welfare workers at home-care centers in the Gimcheon area to build their capacity to provide basic beauty services in caregiving settings and equip them with hands-on beauty care skills.

Held at the college's Techno Art Building hair salon, the program ran from June 8 to June 30 over 10 sessions totaling 30 hours.

The curriculum covered tool management and basic cutting techniques, one-length cuts and scissor handling, clipper-based men's cuts, short-back-and-sides styling practice, face-shape-appropriate styling, and a final comprehensive session with performance sharing.

"This course was designed to help the middle-aged generation build practical skills they can use directly in caregiving environments and to raise the quality of community care services," said President Lee Eun-jik. "We will continue to operate lifelong vocational education programs to nurture locally rooted professional talent."
