E-mart has partnered with Sofy, a brand under LG Household, to sell two pure-cotton sanitary pad products starting Wednesday: the Sofy Real Pure Cotton Medium 40P and the Sofy Real Pure Cotton Large 36P, both priced at 3,950 won per pack.
The medium pack contains 40 pads, working out to about 99 won per pad, while the large pack holds 36 pads at roughly 109 won each. That is about one-quarter the price of comparable pure-cotton pads currently sold at E-mart. The retailer secured cost competitiveness through consolidated purchasing.
Despite the lower price, quality remains unchanged. Unlike many budget sanitary pads that use nonwoven fabric, the Sofy Real Pure Cotton line features a 100 percent cotton cover. The pads measure 26 centimeters in length — 2 centimeters longer than standard winged pads — and have received certification from Dermatest, a German dermatological research institute.
E-mart has also lined up promotional deals. Through Saturday, customers who pay with a participating card can buy the Sofy Ansim Sleep Pants Unbleached Medium and Large 8P, along with 20 overnight pad products, at a flat price of 7,000 won. Through July 15, shoppers who purchase two or more packs from a selection of about 50 standard winged pad products — including the Good Feel Organic 100% Pure Cotton Airy Medium 36P, the Sofy Unbleached Organic Pure Cotton Medium 36P, and the Good Feel Original Maxi Slim Medium — can receive a 50 percent discount.
