Amorepacific posts record sales at Amazon Prime Day

Amorepacific Group announced Friday that it posted record sales at Amazon Prime Day, the shopping event hosted by the world's largest e-commerce platform.

Established global brands including Laneige, Cosrx, Illiyoon and Aestura drove the results, while newer brands such as Mise en Scene, Etude and Labo-H also delivered meaningful growth.

Sales in the US market rose 20 percent year-on-year during the July 23–26 event period. Laneige's flagship products, the Lip Glowy Balm and the Lip Sleeping Mask, ranked first and second in the lip balm category, respectively. Cosrx's Snail Mucin Serum placed 26th overall in the beauty and personal care category.

Illiyoon recorded 197 percent sales growth year-on-year. Its Ceramide Ato Concentrate Cream ranked fifth in the facial moisturizer segment and 35th overall in beauty and personal care. Aestura's Atobarrier Cream placed 10th in the facial moisturizer segment, with the brand's total sales up 128 percent year-on-year. Mise en Scene's Perfect Serum Hair Oil topped the hair styling oil segment.

In Europe, sales grew 22 percent year-on-year. Cosrx's Ultra Light Invisible Sunscreen ranked first in the sunscreen category and fourth overall in beauty and personal care. Aestura and Illiyoon led growth in the European market, with combined sales up 164 percent from a year earlier.

Search interest in key terms such as "Illiyoon moisturizer" and "Mise en Scene hair serum" also rose sharply year-on-year during the event. Brands including Etude mascara and Labo-H entered popular search rankings for the first time.
