Test vehicles delivered to customers' preferred time and location
openR gaming tournament held at 170 showrooms nationwide
Winner receives one-year free test-drive pass for the Filante
Renault Korea is launching a doorstep test-drive service this summer that brings vehicles directly to customers, while also hosting in-car gaming tournaments at showrooms nationwide to expand customer engagement.
The automaker said Thursday afternoon it would begin operating "Chagaom," a customized visit-based test-drive program.
Under the service, customers requesting a test drive can specify their preferred time and location, and a sales representative will deliver the vehicle directly to them. After the drive, customers can also return the vehicle at a location of their choosing, meaning the entire experience — from trying out the car to handing it back — requires no showroom visit.
Customers can sign up through Renault Korea's official website or customer service center. The program targets those who find showroom visits difficult due to the summer heat or scheduling constraints.
For customers who do visit showrooms, Renault Korea will hold the "Renault Filante National Showroom openR Game Tournament" at 170 locations across the country from Friday through July 25.
The tournament will be played on the openR panoramic screen built into the Renault Filante. Participants compete for high scores in R:Rush, a rhythm game driven by AI-generated music.
Any customer visiting a showroom may enter the qualifying rounds, which run from Friday through July 12 at showrooms nationwide. Regional semifinals will be held July 18 at six locations — Seoul, Suwon, Daejeon, Gwangju, Daegu and Busan. The grand final takes place July 25 at the Renault Gangnam dealership.
Prizes are on offer at every stage. All qualifying participants will receive an Ediya Coffee coupon. The 30 semifinalists will each receive a "the Originals" Boston bag, and the 12 finalists will receive a Nintendo Switch 2. The overall winner will receive a one-year free test-drive pass for the Filante.
The Filante is Renault's global flagship model, launched in South Korea in March. An E-segment crossover that blends sedan and SUV characteristics, it is powered by a hybrid E-Tech powertrain with a maximum output of 250 horsepower and an official combined fuel economy rating of 15.1 kilometers per liter.
The cabin features three 12.3-inch openR panoramic screens that extend to the front passenger seat. Each display operates independently, and content can be moved between the left and right screens. The system offers infotainment functions including music, OTT streaming, a web browser, news and a photo gallery, as well as in-car gaming titles such as R:Rush, R:Racing and R:Arcade.
Renault Korea said it plans to expand opportunities for customers to experience its vehicles both inside and outside showrooms through the new doorstep test-drive service and the gaming tournament.
