BNK Busan Bank pledges W600m to ChildFund Korea this year

BNK Busan Bank will carry out social contribution projects worth a total of 600 million won ($390,000) with ChildFund Korea this year.

The bank announced Monday that it held a "2026 Social Contribution Support Ceremony" with ChildFund Korea at its headquarters on July 3, at which it committed to the sponsorship.

The funds are set to be used for a range of community initiatives, including support for the Happy Mom Box program and the Alley Companion mutual-finance campaign. Busan Bank has also been working with ChildFund Korea to organize the I Love Festival, support a smartphone video contest aimed at preventing school violence and carry out volunteer activities through a local service corps, as part of its ongoing social contribution efforts for children and the community.

Since last year, the bank has also been running the "BNK Exciting Dream Seedling Growth Scholarship" program, which identifies talented young students in the region early and provides scholarship support through the completion of their studies, as part of its efforts to nurture future talent.

"We will consistently continue our social contribution activities for the community across a wide range of areas — including education, culture, welfare and the environment — so that children can grow up healthy," said Kim Yong-gyu, head of BNK Busan Bank's management planning group.
