Universiade Leports Center named top performer in 2026 KICIA consumer industry assessment

The Universiade Leports Center, operated by the Daegu Urban Development Corp., has been named an outstanding business in the sports and leisure category of the 2026 KICIA Korean Consumer Industry Assessment, hosted by the Korea Consumer Council and organized by Korea Consumer Evaluation.

According to the Daegu Urban Development Corp. on Tuesday, the assessment began with a preliminary screening from January through March based on factors including the number of portal site reviews. Candidates ranking in the top 32.68 percent advanced to a final review, and only those in the top 0.3 percent were named outstanding businesses.

The Universiade Leports Center has contributed to improving public health and fostering a sound leisure culture through systematic facility management and a range of community sports programs, while continuing to strengthen user-centered services.

"We will continue to do our utmost to improve facility management and service quality so that citizens can use sports facilities in a safer and more comfortable environment," said Jeong Myeong-seop, president of the Daegu Urban Development Corp.
