Marking the launch of the NH South Jeolla-Gwangju Integrated Special City
Suncheon Mayor Son Hun-mo enrolled Wednesday in the NH South Jeolla-Gwangju Integrated Special City community deposit product offered by NH NongHyup Bank.
The enrollment was meant to show support for the administrative integration of South Jeolla Province and Gwangju and the building of a broad regional cooperation framework, and to promote a culture of charitable and public-interest finance for shared community growth.
The NH South Jeolla-Gwangju Integrated Special City community deposit product is a regional co-prosperity financial product through which NH NongHyup Bank sets aside 0.1 percent of deposit sales and returns the accumulated funds as a public-interest fund for development projects in South Jeolla Province and Gwangju, welfare improvements for marginalized groups, and the cultivation of local talent.
"I hope that joining this community deposit product will make a small contribution to the successful establishment of the South Jeolla-Gwangju Integrated Special City and to balanced regional development," Son said. "Suncheon will spare no policy cooperation for the mutual prosperity and shared growth of South Jeolla Province and Gwangju, and will join efforts to revitalize the regional economy."
