Former volleyball player Kim Yo-han splits with Pilates instructor girlfriend

Former volleyball player Kim Yo-han has broken up with Lee Ju-yeon, a Pilates instructor six years his junior.

On Friday's episode of Channel A's "Sinrang Sueop 2," a marriage reality show, Kim told his parents: "To be honest, Ju-yeon and I had differences in values, so we decided to end things."

Speaking in the studio, Kim said the awkwardness that surfaced during a camping date on Ganghwado had lingered. "After that, we met separately and talked at length, but there were differences of opinion we just couldn't bridge," he said.

Kim bowed his head and reflected on his own hesitation. "My father proposed to my mother right after their blind date. I think I lack that kind of decisiveness," he said.

His mother offered a pointed reminder about commitment. "For two strangers to build a life together, there has to be self-sacrifice and dedication," she said. "Marriage is not something you can take or leave. It is something you absolutely must do."
