Lotte Department Store Daegu will hold a direct-from-farm live abalone event at a special event hall on its second below-ground floor to mark Chobok — the first of the three hottest days of the traditional Korean lunar calendar, falling on Wednesday — the store announced Sunday.
Running through Thursday, the event will offer fresh live abalone caught directly from the clean waters off Wando.
Alongside this, eco-friendly food brand Orga will run a special Chobok health-food showcase during the same period.
"During the Wando live abalone direct-shipment event, we will also present a variety of health-boosting ingredients, including young chickens for samgyetang, herbal medicinal materials and health powders," a store official said.
