Google Cloud to provide Gemini Enterprise to Samsung Electronics' DX division employees worldwide

Google Cloud and Samsung Electronics have joined forces to transform how employees work with AI.

Google Cloud announced Monday it will provide Gemini Enterprise to all Samsung Electronics Device Experience (DX) division employees worldwide. The deployment marks the largest enterprise agentic AI rollout in South Korea by Google Cloud to date.

Through the partnership, the two companies aim to go beyond simple task assistance by strengthening AI capabilities through integrated agentic tools. To that end, they have introduced a dual-layer architecture tailored to the diverse operational needs of the DX division.

In practice, DX division employees will be able to use the Gemini Enterprise app as an intelligence-driven conversational workspace. The app serves as a centralized gateway connecting disparate internal systems, allowing employees to search and synthesize organizational knowledge in real time.

Google Cloud said the Gemini Enterprise app will serve as a core foundation for expanding Samsung Electronics' next-generation AI roadmap. The companies plan to build out the data environment and operational framework needed to eventually deploy customized, multi-step AI agents capable of autonomously managing complex enterprise tasks.

Looking further ahead, the two companies have set a long-term goal of achieving company-wide AI democratization — enabling both technical and non-technical Samsung Electronics employees to build their own AI agents.

Google Cloud said it will support staff in departments such as human resources and marketing in building customized agents optimized for their specific roles.

Security has also been reinforced. Gemini Enterprise will be deployed directly within a dedicated Google Cloud tenant environment for Samsung Electronics' DX division. Google Cloud said sensitive corporate data will be managed exclusively within a strictly controlled perimeter, with no risk of external exposure.

Ruth Sun, president of Google Cloud Korea, said Gemini Enterprise represents "the starting point for Samsung Electronics employees to step into true enterprise AI," adding that it "will serve as a secure foundation for accelerating business transformation at global scale, tailored to the diverse needs of the organization."

Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics had earlier adopted OpenAI's ChatGPT Enterprise and Codex for all domestic employees and DX division employees worldwide — also the largest ChatGPT Enterprise contract OpenAI has signed globally.
