Seoul's Seongdong-gu has announced its first promotion reshuffle under the ninth elected term, with only a handful of positions filled.
The district office confirmed Monday that Jeong Mi-young, chief of the autonomous administration division, will be promoted to Grade 4, while Ha Eun-ja of the housing policy division and Hwang Han-gyu of the information and communications division will be promoted to Grade 5.
The slim slate reflects just one Grade 4 vacancy from retirement and two at Grade 5.
Observers say Seongdong-gu will need to open more promotion slots at the Grade 4 and Grade 5 levels going forward.
