Lotte Members signed a memorandum of understanding Tuesday with Vaiv and Zero2One Partners at its headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul, to jointly develop an "AI persona-based virtual research and analysis service."
The agreement centers on using "AI personas" — virtual customer models built by training AI on real data — to predict consumer behavior and marketing responses.
Lotte Members will contribute pseudonymized data from its 45 million L.Point members. Vaiv will supply unstructured data drawn from social media and develop the user interface. Zero2One Partners will develop the core logic for combining the datasets and designing virtual customers' personality profiles and spending patterns.
The three companies will launch a proof-of-concept project under the agreement. Key validation areas will include product and persona segmentation, product recommendations and marketing response simulation.
"Combining L.Point purchase data with AI technology will generate new business insights," Lotte Members CEO Park Jong-nam said. "Through the synergy of the three companies, we will establish a data business model that predicts consumer responses."
