Han Sang-kwon (30, Kim Dae-hwan MMA), known as Road FC's "civil servant" fighter, will take on Ohara Juli (36), the DEEP lightweight champion from Japan.
The bout is set for Road FC 078, to be held at Jangchung Arena in Seoul on Aug. 29.
Han has earned the "civil servant" nickname for his consistent activity inside the Road FC cage. He has grown steadily with each outing against top foreign competition, adding striking ability to his trademark wrestling to become a well-rounded fighter.
After defeating Kim Min-hyeong in May, Han called out Juli, driven by his desire to face another elite foreign opponent. Juli answered, and the matchup was made.
Ohara Juli is one of Japan's most accomplished lightweight veterans. The DEEP lightweight champion has also competed in major promotion Rizin FF, compiling an overall record of 38 wins, 21 losses and 2 draws. Between 2023 and 2024, he fought in Korean promotion Black Combat, going 4-3 in seven bouts and capturing the lightweight title there as well.
Juli previously competed at a Road FC event held in Tokyo in 2015, making this his return to the promotion after roughly 11 years.
With Juli's addition, Road FC's lightweight roster grows deeper, setting the stage for fierce competition in the division.
