Yang Se-chan reveals he stuck chopsticks in an outlet as a child and was knocked out

Comedian Yang Se-chan has revealed he suffered an electric shock as a child.

A video titled "Parenting Vlog: Today's After-School Helper, Yang Se-chan" was posted Tuesday on the YouTube channel "GiyuTV."

Yang served as a one-day after-school helper for the child of comedian couple Kang Jae-jun and Lee Eun-hyeong.

After playing at the playground with Yang, the couple's son Hyeonjo took a bath while Yang watched from outside the bathroom. Seeing the boy playing alone, Yang said, "There's a difference between playing by yourself and having someone to talk to — that must be why people talk about having a second child." Lee admitted, "Watching this, I find myself wondering whether we should have a second child, even though we hadn't been thinking about it at all."

Yang then shared a childhood memory. "I learned something when I was little," he said. "I stuck chopsticks into an outlet. I thought it would just crackle, but the moment I put them in, it exploded."

Lee asked whether he had been hurt, and Yang replied, "I don't remember. I just collapsed. Because I know that fear firsthand, I haven't been able to put anything in there since." Lee said, "That's exactly right — you have to get hurt to learn not to get hurt."

Lee Eun-hyeong is married to Kang Jae-jun, and the couple has a son, Hyeonjo. She actively shares the realities of raising a child with the public through social media.
