The Seoul Sports Council (chairman Kang Tae-seon) signed an MOU with law firm YK (managing attorney Kang Gyeong-hun) on Tuesday to establish a legal advisory partnership, the council announced Wednesday.
The signing ceremony took place in a conference room on the sixth floor of the Seoul Sports Council's main office. Secretary General Kim Seong-beom and YK managing attorney Kang Gyeong-hun attended along with officials from both organizations and pledged mutual cooperation.
The council said it expects the partnership to improve the legality and efficiency of its operations through prompt and accurate legal advice, while also helping to prevent legal disputes and minimize institutional risk.
"We have laid the groundwork to provide practical legal support for athletes facing legal difficulties," Kang said. "We will actively cooperate to ensure the stable activities of the sports council and its athletes through professional legal counsel."
Chairman Kang Tae-seon said securing legal stability in carrying out the council's wide range of duties is a critical task. "I expect YK's legal expertise to be a great asset in strengthening the legality and credibility of our operations," he said.
