Mimiminu pulls 122 videos after instructor's 'ilbe slang' claim over RESCENE member's remark

Popular education and college-admissions YouTuber Mimiminu has ended production of the YouTube series "All About Ipsi," which he had run with life sciences instructor Yun Do-young.

Mimiminu's team announced Tuesday through a YouTube community post that "the 'All About Ipsi' content we have produced together with Teacher Yun Do-young has, regrettably, come to an end."

The announcement added that "all episodes have been agreed to be set to private at the instructor's request," and apologized for delivering "such sudden news."

"All About Ipsi" featured Yun providing one-on-one college admissions consultations to exam candidates. The series drew a strong following for challenging the vague expectations of students and parents and offering realistic admissions strategies tailored to their actual grades.

A total of 122 episodes had been publicly available, but all have now been set to private and can no longer be viewed.

The decision has drawn attention as it follows a recent controversy over a remark by Won-i, a rookie member of girl group RESCENE, involving the expression "museopno."

Yun, a top-ranked instructor from Busan, had weighed in on the controversy on social media, saying he uses the phrase "wa iri museopno" and that he does not use the standalone "museopno" alone, adding, "It is ilbe slang."

As the controversy grew, however, he walked back his position, saying, "The younger generation shortens words so much these days that 'wa iri' could simply be dropped. I only said what I did because I was influenced without realizing it — I don't think it was intentional use."
