Nowon-gu District Mayor Seo Jun-oh attended the "9th-term Campaign Pledge Talk" forum Wednesday afternoon at the main auditorium on the second floor of the Nowon-gu District Office, sharing the direction of his key campaign pledges with residents and gathering their feedback.
The forum was designed as a participatory public discussion platform to deliberate on the direction of major campaign pledges with residents and collect a range of opinions to inform district administration going forward. Seo presented the achievements of the Future Nowon Preparatory Committee and his core 9th-term pledges under the theme "Residents Ask, Nowon Answers."
About 150 people attended, including district officials, members of the Future Nowon Preparatory Committee, community representatives and experts from various fields. Participants held open discussions on four key policy areas: future city development, green and wellness initiatives, livelihood and the local economy, and innovative administration and communication.
The event also featured real-time policy voting and comment boards via mobile QR codes, as well as a live stream on the district's official YouTube channel "Mihongssi," extending the conversation to online audiences.
Seo said that although 15 days had passed since he took office, "today is the true inauguration day," and announced he would begin full-scale district administration based on a review of his campaign pledges and proposed projects. "Built on existing foundations in environment, welfare and culture, I will make Nowon a future economic city teeming with businesses and jobs — through communication and empathy with residents," he said.
