Richard Gere, 77, to play romantic lead opposite 29-year-old actress — just 3 years older than his son

Hollywood actor Richard Gere, 77, is set to star alongside Diana Silvers, 29, as a romantic couple in an upcoming film.

According to foreign media including the British Daily Mail, Gere and Silvers recently filmed scenes together in New York.

The film is based on a bestselling novel of the same name published in 2018 by Lisa Halliday.

The source novel draws on Halliday's own experience of dating a male writer 43 years her senior when she was young. The film similarly centers on the relationship between two characters with a wide age gap.

Silvers is only three years older than Gere's son, Homer Gere.

Gere is currently married to his third wife, who is 30 years his junior. He is best known for his roles in "Pretty Woman" and "Chicago."
