Comedian Cho Se-ho has resumed activity on social media eight months after allegations surfaced linking him to organized crime.
Cho posted several photos on his Instagram on Friday, writing: "It's been a while since I've greeted you on Instagram! I'm back with Doraibeo season 6. I've prepared something fun for this season, so please give it lots of attention."
Late last year, allegations emerged about his ties to organized crime figures, prompting Cho to announce he was stepping back from broadcast activities. He left tvN's "You Quiz on the Block" and KBS 2TV's "2 Days & 1 Night," though he has continued to appear on the Netflix variety show "Doraibeo."
His agency denied the allegations at the time, saying he had "only a simple acquaintance relationship" with the individuals in question and that no money or gifts had been exchanged.
Cho also addressed the matter himself, saying he had met a wide range of people he would not have otherwise known through years of traveling to regional events. "The allegations raised on account of those connections are not true at all, as many of you are concerned," he said.
Fellow entertainers Kim Ho-young, Hong Hyeon-hui, Ju Woo-jae, Jang Seong-gyu, Moon Se-yun, DinDin, Lee Dong-hwi and Kim Won-hun were among those who liked Cho's post in a show of support.
Meanwhile, "Doraibeo Season 6 — Law of Survival" premiered on Netflix at 11 a.m. Saturday.
