Shinhan Financial Group to hold first wealth management forum for high-net-worth clients

Shinhan Financial Group announced Monday it will hold a group-wide wealth management forum targeting 1,000 high-net-worth clients with financial assets of at least 1 billion won ($705,000).

The forum, titled "Shinhan Premier Pathfinder Hyean 2026," will be held Aug. 31 at Dragon City in Yongsan, Seoul.

The event marks Shinhan Financial's first joint wealth management forum, bringing together key affiliates including its banking and securities units alongside its card, life and asset management subsidiaries.

Amid heightened volatility in asset markets, the forum aims to offer high-net-worth clients a comprehensive range of services in one venue — from market outlooks and tailored investment consultations to lifestyle care services.

The group earlier published a wealth management guidebook titled "Hyean 2026," designed to address the real-world concerns of ultra-high-net-worth clients.

Eligibility has been expanded beyond existing Shinhan Premier customers to include clients of the group's "Shinhan Premier Workplace WM" service, which extends wealth management to partner customers such as Shinsegae VIP members.

The forum will open with Oh Geon-young, head of the group's wealth management specialist unit Shinhan Premier Pathfinder, presenting a global macroeconomic outlook under the theme "2026 Global Macro Insights." Sessions will follow on changes in tax law, investment strategy, domestic and overseas share and real estate market outlooks, and wealth trends in Korea for 2026.

Golf director Park Se-ri will appear as a special guest speaker. Drawing on her experiences navigating crises and making high-stakes decisions during her playing career, Park will lead a special discussion on the judgment and mental resilience that investors need in rapidly shifting markets.

The venue will also offer one-on-one consultations with Shinhan Premier Pathfinder specialists in areas including taxation, real estate and portfolio management. Separate consulting booths for each affiliate will be set up to provide tailored wealth management advice based on individual client needs.

"This forum is a gathering where we have mobilized the group's full wealth management capabilities, centered on our integrated wealth management brand Shinhan Premier," a Shinhan Financial official said. "We will continue to provide asset allocation strategies and customized solutions that offer our customers 'hyean' — clear insight — in a difficult market."

Shinhan Financial began accepting registrations Monday through the group's integrated app Shinhan Super SOL, with participants to be selected by lottery.
