Socar posted an operating profit of 6.81 billion won ($4.81 million) in the second quarter on a consolidated basis, up 271.2 percent from a year earlier, the company disclosed Tuesday.
Revenue for the same period came in at 120.99 billion won, a preliminary figure reflecting a 22.6 percent increase year-on-year.
Net profit for the period stood at 6.46 billion won, swinging to a profit from a loss in the prior-year quarter.
