Global golf shaft manufacturer Nippon Shaft and its official domestic distributor GOLFnCo are sponsoring the 33rd Songam Cup Amateur Golf Championship, continuing their support for amateur golf development and next-generation talent in South Korea.
The tournament runs Tuesday through Friday at Daegu Country Club in Gyeongsan, North Gyeongsang Province, and doubles as a national team selection evaluation event. The competition has long served as a proving ground for top players who have gone on to make their mark on domestic and international stages.
Nippon Shaft and GOLFnCo, which market the N.S.PRO shaft brand, said the sponsorship reflects a long-term commitment beyond tournament support — one aimed at encouraging the next generation of players who will lead Korean golf, broadening the amateur game's reach and fostering a healthy golf culture.
Suzuki Kazuma, assistant manager in the sales division at Nippon Shaft, said the Songam Cup holds special significance as a tournament where many players who have shaped Korean golf have come of age.
