A new electric mattress designed to sit directly on an existing bed frame is drawing attention.
Slowbed, the mattress brand of Fursys Group, has launched the "Evening Motion Mattress," which uses this approach.
The new product integrates the mattress and motorized base into a single unit. Weighing 54 kilograms in a single-size configuration, it can be installed on an existing bed frame without a dedicated motion frame, as long as the frame meets basic installation requirements such as shape and load-bearing capacity. The design eliminates both the cost of replacing an entire bed and the hassle of reworking an existing bedroom's interior.
The mattress comes in two versions to suit different lifestyles: a standard model and a head-tilting model. The standard model adjusts the upper body to a maximum angle of 66 degrees. The head-tilting model moves the headrest independently, allowing the upper body to be raised up to 89 degrees. The company said the backrest and headrest work together to naturally support the neck, helping users maintain a more comfortable posture while reading or streaming content.
The motorized base uses a low-noise LINAK motor for smooth, uninterrupted operation during angle adjustments. A single remote control handles angle adjustment, mode settings and the saving of preferred positions. Slowbed also said the mattress incorporates 2D contoured foam shaped to the body's curves, maintaining stable comfort regardless of the angle.
