CJ Logistics turns job fair into game day with relay races and quizzes

Applicants will carry delivery boxes in a relay race, answer OX quiz questions and jump rope together — all in the name of learning what it is like to work in logistics. CJ Logistics is holding an experiential recruitment session themed around the online game Tales Runner, following an earlier event this year built around a cops-and-robbers concept.

CJ Logistics announced Wednesday that it will host its "2026 Second-Half New Employee Recruitment Information Session" on Aug. 28 at the Culture Tank in Mapo-gu, Seoul.

Unlike conventional sessions focused on company and job introductions, the event lets applicants team up with current employees to complete missions, giving them a feel for logistics work and the company's organizational culture.

The centerpiece is a "Mini Game Challenge" built around the intellectual property of the online game Tales Runner. Running, obstacle courses and cooperative elements from the game have been adapted into offline missions.

Participants will form teams with CJ Logistics employees and take part in a relay race using delivery boxes of varying sizes. They will also tackle an OX survival quiz based on company business and recruitment information, and complete a group jump-rope challenge. The missions give applicants indirect experience of the collaboration and problem-solving skills needed on the logistics floor.

CJ Logistics held a similar experiential session earlier this year under a cops-and-robbers theme. This time, the company expanded the hands-on elements by combining running with game-based activities.

After the games, participants will receive more detailed job information. Yoon Cheol-ju, head of CJ Logistics' FT division, will lead an "SCM Career Talk" covering changes in the supply chain management industry and career development in the logistics sector.

A rotation-style job briefing will follow, giving applicants the chance to speak directly with employees working in each role. Attendees can ask about day-to-day responsibilities and career development paths after joining the company.

Applications are open through Aug. 23 via the CJ Logistics recruitment website and its recruitment Instagram account. Selected applicants will be notified individually on Aug. 24.

The company will also take its recruitment drive to university campuses. CJ Logistics plans to participate in career fairs at seven universities — Seoul National University, Hanyang University, Korea University, Yonsei University, Sogang University, Ewha Womans University and Sungkyunkwan University — from Sept. 1 to Sept. 8.

Separately, the company is recruiting technology talent. The "Future Technology Challenge 2026," a logistics technology competition linked to recruitment, drew 208 teams and 338 participants when it was held earlier this month. Since the program launched in 2021, 29 participants have gone on to join CJ Logistics' TES Logistics Technology Research Institute.

"Following the cops-and-robbers theme last half, we designed this event around running and a popular game IP so applicants can experience logistics roles in a more accessible and enjoyable way," said Kim Jeong-tae, head of human resources at CJ Logistics. "We will continue to expand opportunities for talented individuals to explore their careers firsthand through a variety of experiential recruitment programs."
