LS Electric to supply $34m power distribution systems to Bloom Energy for Wyoming data center

LS Electric is stepping up its push into the North American hyperscale data center power infrastructure market through a partnership with a global energy company.

LS Electric announced Tuesday it has signed a power distribution solution supply contract with Bloom Energy worth approximately $34.26 million.

Under the agreement, LS Electric will supply a full suite of power distribution systems — including low-voltage switchboards — for a hyperscale data center power infrastructure project being developed by a major local energy infrastructure company in Wyoming, where Bloom Energy is building the facility.

LS Electric said it secured the additional order from an existing customer on the strength of its world-class distribution technology, product quality and rapid delivery capabilities. The company plans to deepen its partnership with Bloom Energy as a key supplier of electrical equipment and expand its foothold in the North American data center market.

LS Electric has been reinforcing its next-generation distribution solution capabilities in line with surging power demand driven by the global proliferation of AI data centers.

The company has built a locally integrated value chain spanning sales, design, production and service, anchored by two manufacturing hubs in the United States — LS Electric Utah in Utah and the Bastrop Campus in Texas. Alongside this, it has established a DC Factory at its Cheonan plant — the world's first manufacturing facility to adopt direct-current distribution — enabling it to respond swiftly to next-generation data center requirements through advanced DC distribution solutions.

Buoyed by strong North American data center business, LS Electric posted record quarterly earnings in the second quarter, with sales of 1.58 trillion won ($1.11 billion) and operating profit of 178.5 billion won. North America sales reached approximately 400 billion won, a quarterly record, while total cumulative orders surpassed 7 trillion won.

"We will strengthen our strategic partnership with Bloom Energy and actively leverage our local infrastructure to further expand our market share in the North American data center market," an LS Electric official said.
