KB Securities announced Tuesday that it had won the gold award at ICT Award Korea 2026 for financial product video content produced using AI.

ICT Award Korea, organized by the Korea Information Science Promotion Association, held its 23rd edition this year. A total of 211 entries competed across categories including PC and mobile web, applications, digital platforms and promotions. KB Securities took the gold in the securities and real estate category for its digital AI video work.

The winning entries were three AI-based video advertisements covering pension packages, a domestic stock welcome pack and a brokerage-type individual savings account. The pension and brokerage ISA videos conveyed the importance of long-term asset management — including tax savings and retirement preparation — while the domestic stock welcome pack video introduced relevant benefits and information to customers interested in investing in Korean equities.

KB Securities used AI across the entire production process, from scriptwriting and voiceover generation to visual composition and editing. The approach cut the time and steps previously required for video production and allowed the firm to build a system capable of quickly revising and redistributing content in response to shifting market conditions and changes in customer interest.

In the first half of this year, KB Securities also advanced its AI-powered services in the wealth management segment. The firm restructured its sales operations around growing customer assets, expanded personalized consulting and asset-allocation product supply, and pushed individual customer assets under management above 200 trillion won ($141 billion). It also stepped up marketing focused on its banking and wealth management businesses to drive further inflows of customer assets.

Building on the award, KB Securities plans to extend its use of AI technology across the broader digital customer experience. The firm intends to deliver investment and asset management information more effectively to customers while using AI to improve the efficiency and flexibility of content production.

"We produced AI-based video content to deliver messages that genuinely help customers with their investment and asset management needs more quickly in a rapidly changing financial environment," said Lee Hong-gu, chief executive of KB Securities. "We will continue to advance AI-driven customer communication on the strength of this recognition, and will keep expanding the digital services that support customers' investment journeys and asset growth through our mobile trading platform KB M-able."
