Ulsan has levied 4.4 billion won ($3.11 million) across 445,981 cases in individual resident tax for 2026, marking August as the city's resident tax payment month.
By district, the levies break down as follows: Nam-gu led with 124,948 cases totaling 1.24 billion won; Ulju-gun followed with 93,191 cases at 926 million won; Jung-gu recorded 84,016 cases at 834 million won; Buk-gu had 81,851 cases at 812 million won; and Dong-gu posted 61,975 cases at 616 million won.
The payment deadline is the end of this month, and late payments will incur a surcharge. Residents can pay at financial institutions, through virtual accounts, or via the Wetax website (www.wetax.go.kr) or the Giro site (www.giro.or.kr).
