Laying the groundwork for growth among the city's leading businesses
Three companies — Shinjeong Development Co., Araum Co. and Daea Seafood Co. — have been named Yeosu's "2026 Star Companies," with the city presenting each with a designation certificate and commemorative plaque.
The three local firms earned the designation after scoring highly on evaluations of their technology capabilities, growth potential and financial soundness.
The city has run the Yeosu Star Company development project in partnership with the South Jeolla Province Technopark foundation since 2012.
Designated companies receive tailored support programs for up to three years, covering research and development, design and product upgrades, intellectual property acquisition, and domestic and overseas marketing, calibrated to each firm's stage of growth and specific needs.
"We will continue to provide practical support by actively incorporating feedback from the field so that star companies can grow into businesses that represent the region," Mayor Seo said.
