Lee Soo-hyuk drops out of 'Harem's Men' citing scheduling conflict

Saram Entertainment, the agency of actor Lee Soo-hyuk, has explained why he withdrew from the upcoming drama series "Harem's Men."

The agency said Wednesday that Lee had left the production "due to scheduling reasons."

However, it declined to elaborate on how far along his filming had progressed, saying it was "not in a position to know the specifics."

"Harem's Men" recently began production. Lee had been in talks to join the project last year, eventually confirmed his participation and completed some filming before deciding to withdraw.

The drama series is a palace romance fantasy following Ratil, empress of the Tarium Empire, as she takes male consorts to defend her throne. It is an adaptation of a Naver web novel by author Alphatart.

Suzy is cast as the lead, Ratil, and Lee had been set to play one of her consorts.

Meanwhile, Lee has wrapped filming on two Netflix drama series — "Grand Galaxy Hotel" and "Dealer" — both of which are awaiting release.
