Suseong University, Tacoma Community College sign MOU for global education partnership

Suseong University signed a memorandum of understanding with Tacoma Community College (TCC) on Tuesday at its Daegu campus to build a framework for global education cooperation between the two institutions.

The signing ceremony was attended by Suseong University President Kim Seon-sun, Vice President Kim Geon-u, Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation Director Kang Seong-su, Admissions and Public Relations Director Jeong Ji-won and Academic Support Director Kwon Gyeong-hui, along with TCC President Ivan L. Harrell Jr. and Director of International Student Programs and Services James Newman.

The agreement aims to strengthen the international education capabilities of both institutions as higher education providers and to develop mutually beneficial programs that support the growth of students and faculty.

Under the MOU, the two universities will cooperate on developing and running joint education programs, supporting reciprocal student exchanges, sharing academic achievement records after graduation, and exploring opportunities for faculty exchanges and collaboration.

"Building on this agreement, we will actively provide our students with diverse global training and educational opportunities, and work to cultivate globally competent professionals who can make their mark on the world stage," President Kim said.

The TCC delegation traveled to South Korea to attend the 2026 Daegu World Masters Athletics Championships and to sign the exchange agreement with Suseong University. The delegation is scheduled to attend the championships' opening ceremony on Friday and experience a K-beauty program at Suseong University's K-culture experience zone, one of the side events at Daegu Stadium Mall.
