Binance announced Thursday that it will hold "Binance Blockchain Week Bangkok 2026" (BBW 2026) in Bangkok, Thailand, in November.
The event will run Nov. 28-29 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) in Bangkok. It will be the first time Binance Blockchain Week has been held in Asia since a previous edition in Singapore.
This year's theme is "EVOLVE." The agenda will cover growing institutional investment in Bitcoin, stablecoins as payment infrastructure, the institutionalization of decentralized finance (DeFi), real-world asset (RWA) tokenization and share tokenization, cross-border payments, and the convergence of AI and virtual assets.
Amid accelerating convergence between traditional finance and digital asset markets, the event will also address challenges facing the industry's expansion — including broader institutional participation, user protection and regulatory frameworks.
Richard Teng, co-CEO of Binance, said Asia is "the epicenter where the next generation of convergence between traditional finance and digital assets will be built and adopted at scale," adding that the company will focus on "meaningful progress — enhanced user protection and clear standards — as institutional participation deepens and the convergence between the two markets accelerates."
He Yi, co-CEO of Binance, said the next phase of mainstream digital asset adoption "will take shape through accessibility, education and products that deliver real utility in everyday life," and that it "accelerates when the technology becomes simple and seamless enough to blend naturally into daily life — cross-border payments, tokenized securities trading, digital portfolio management."
Speakers at the event will include co-CEOs Teng and He Yi, along with Binance interim Chief Marketing Officer Eowyn Chen, Asia-Pacific head SB Sekhar, VIP and institutional head Catherine Chen, and Thomas Gregory, vice president of payments and fiat.
Sekhar said Asia is seeing "real models emerging where digital assets can operate under clear regulation — beyond just adoption numbers," and that BBW Bangkok 2026 will serve as a forum to examine "what underpins consumer protection, market integrity and infrastructure that can scale," even as the pace and approach vary across jurisdictions.
Meanwhile, He Yi said at Binance Blockchain Week held in Dubai, UAE, last December that the company was "trying to take responsibility for Korea" and was "waiting for regulatory approval with assets prepared" to resolve losses suffered by Go Pay users. Binance is the largest shareholder of Streami, the operator of Gopax, holding a 67.45 percent stake.
