Actor Lee Dong-gun revealed his paternal side during a household survey segment, bringing up his daughter Roa.
Thursday's episode of JTBC's "Divorce Contemplation Camp" featured a household survey of the show's 23rd-season couple, nicknamed the "petty couple."
During the segment, the wife said she struggles to firmly refuse her children's requests, while the husband called her an "overzealous mom," saying her habit of picking up the children every time they cry had caused their eldest to avoid walking on her own.
It also emerged that she had been spoon-feeding their 6-year-old at every meal.
Watching the footage, cast member Park Ha-sun advised that discipline was needed, noting the child was capable of eating independently but had grown reliant on the parents.
Lee chimed in, visibly caught off guard. "Am I an unusual case? I spoon-fed my daughter when she was 6," he said. "I thought it was perfectly normal — was that wrong?"
MC Seo Jang-hoon came to his defense. "Dong-gun's situation is different," he said. "He only gets to see her occasionally, so that time is precious and he naturally wants to take extra care of her."
Lee married actor Jo Yoon-hee in 2017 and the couple had a daughter, Roa. They divorced by mutual agreement in 2020.
