The third round of the KPGA Tour Dong-A Membership Group Open, which carries a purse of 700 million won ($503,000), was suspended due to severe weather and pushed back by one day.
The KPGA halted play at 2:50 p.m. Saturday at Solago Country Club's Sol Course (par 72) in Taean, South Chungcheong Province, after heavy rain and lightning struck during the third round. Officials twice delayed a potential restart before ultimately ruling that play could not resume.
The tournament had already struggled with weather disruptions since Friday's second round, when a lightning warning forced a suspension before play resumed at 4:20 p.m. The delay left 72 players unable to finish their rounds, forcing them to complete the remaining holes early Saturday morning.
Players who made the cut teed off for the third round at 11:50 a.m. Saturday, but renewed bad weather again prevented all 72 players across 24 groups from completing their rounds.
Players are now scheduled to finish the remaining third-round holes beginning at 6:50 a.m. Sunday, with the final round set to begin around 11:40 a.m.
Jung Jae-hoon holds the solo lead at 15 under par through three holes of the third round, with Kim Seung-min one stroke back in second place.
