Gyeonguk National University holds fall 2025 graduation ceremony

Gyeonguk National University held its fall 2025 graduation ceremony Friday at the International Exchange Center on its Andong campus.

A total of 235 degrees were conferred at the ceremony. The Andong campus awarded 219 degrees — including doctorates to 13 graduates of the general graduate school and four from the Graduate School of Hallyu Culture, master's degrees to 77 graduates across four graduate programs, and bachelor's degrees to 125 students — while the Yecheon campus conferred professional associate degrees on 16 additional graduates.

Among the international graduates, Li Wenmei (Department of Oriental Philosophy) and Zhang Yang (Department of Classical Chinese Literature), both from China, earned doctoral degrees. Nine international students received master's degrees in total, including Tojialiyev Bekmunghamad from Uzbekistan (Department of Economics).

Five of the international graduates held Korean Government Scholarship (GKS) awards, among them Sari Astari Puspita of Indonesia, adding significance to the university's record of developing global talent.

At the bachelor's level, Dam Van Tung from Vietnam and Kazbegova Anna from Kazakhstan both graduated with degrees in business administration.

Including this semester's graduates, Gyeonguk National University has produced a cumulative total of 57,707 alumni — 50,917 bachelor's degree holders, 6,194 master's graduates and 596 doctoral graduates — along with 9,167 professional associate degree holders and 176 bachelor's degree graduates from the Yecheon campus.
