Sigong Tech wins pavilion contracts for 103 nations at Expo Belgrade 2027

Sigong Tech, a specialist in exhibition and cultural spaces, has won contracts to build pavilions for 103 participating countries and organizations at Expo 2027 Belgrade, following its earlier contract for the South Korean pavilion.

According to Sigong Tech on Tuesday, the project was put out to competitive tender that drew leading firms from the United States, Germany, Switzerland, Spain and Italy, among others. Sigong Tech beat out those rivals to be selected as the final contractor by the Expo 2027 Belgrade organizing committee on July 31, and signed the main contract on Friday. The total contract value is 54 million euros ($63.1 million, VAT included), equivalent to about 87 billion won.

Expo 2027 Belgrade is a Bureau International des Expositions world exposition to be held in Belgrade, Serbia, for 93 days from May 15 to Aug. 15, 2027. Countries from around the world will participate under the theme "Play for Humanity — Sport and Music for All."

The shared pavilion project Sigong Tech has taken on comprises eight joint pavilions used by multiple participating countries and 13 smaller individual pavilions, covering a total of 103 participating nations and organizations.

The scope of work extends well beyond design and construction. Sigong Tech will oversee everything from architectural and exhibition design to content planning that captures each country's culture and stories, multimedia and exhibit production and installation, technical systems setup, and operations and maintenance throughout the event.

Given the challenge of realizing the distinct needs and content of more than 100 countries and organizations within a single space, Sigong Tech plans to draw on its accumulated global project management expertise and its integrated capabilities spanning design, content and technology. The company also earned high marks from the organizers for proposing innovative AI-driven solutions across planning, design, production and installation.

Sigong Tech has carried out more than 35 pavilion and related projects at BIE world expositions to date. It served as the main operator for the 2017 Kazakhstan Expo and handled six pavilions at the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo, including those for South Korea, Oman, Colombia and Kazakhstan, as well as the UN and ISTC pavilions.

The company expects the project to serve as a key springboard for expanding into overseas markets, including the 2030 Saudi Arabia Expo.

Meanwhile, Sigong Tech is an exhibition and culture specialist that produces and installs exhibition and cultural facilities and creates original content. The company has secured more than 290 domestic and international intellectual property rights to date.
