Galux Named to Forbes Asia 100 List — the Only Korean Biotech to Make the Cut

Galux, an AI-driven drug development company, announced Wednesday that it has been named to the "2026 Forbes Asia 100 to Watch" list published by the global business magazine Forbes.

The Forbes Asia 100 to Watch is an annual ranking of unlisted companies across the Asia-Pacific region selected for their business innovation and high market potential. Among the nine Korean companies on this year's list, Galux is the only entry in the biotechnology and healthcare category.

Forbes cited Galux's proprietary AI-based protein design technology and its commercialization track record. Key growth factors highlighted included joint research with global pharmaceutical majors such as AstraZeneca and Boehringer Ingelheim, as well as cumulative fundraising of about 70 billion won ($50.7 million), including a Series B round closed earlier this year.

Galux develops antibody and protein therapeutic candidates through its in-house AI platform, GaluxDesign, which combines the physicochemical principles of proteins with AI to design new protein structures and sequences from scratch — a so-called de novo approach — optimized for specific targets.

Progress on its proprietary drug pipeline is also on track. The company's AI-designed PD-1/IL-18v bispecific antibody immunotherapy was selected this year as a new candidate-stage project under the national new drug development program, further validating its development capabilities.

"We will leap forward as a next-generation biotech that contributes to innovative drug development not just in Asia but in global markets."
