'What are you afraid of?' — Kim Byung-ji takes another public shot at Park Moon-sung

Kim Byung-ji, CEO of Gangwon FC, has again publicly targeted football commentator Park Moon-sung.

Kim posted a lengthy statement on his social media account Tuesday.

The post followed a series of public questions he had recently directed at Park and came in response to a notice issued by Park's side.

"Incitement is possible with a single sentence," Kim said in the post. "But to prove that one sentence is not true, you need dozens of documents and mountains of evidence — and by the time you've prepared your rebuttal, people have already been incited."

Kim also referenced remarks Park made in a Yonhap interview suggesting Kim should "just get investigated," asking in response: "Has Park Moon-sung actually filed a criminal complaint or requested an investigation in connection with the allegations he has raised against me?"

"If so, please disclose when, to which investigative agency, and on what charges the request was made," Kim said. "If there is a complaint filed against me, I will not run from it."

Kim also noted that Park had announced he would be on vacation until Sept. 1, saying Park was not responding to media requests for fact-checking or clarification.

Kim pressed further with pointed language: "What are you afraid of? Are you scared of how much I know? Or are you meeting with people involved to coordinate your story, cover up the facts, or win them over?"

The feud between the two escalated over a youth player training trip to England. Park had pointed out that Kim's son was included in a Gangwon FC youth program at Tottenham last year. Kim acknowledged that it had been ethically problematic for the CEO's son to participate and said he had apologized — but rebuffed Park, saying he was rehashing an already-settled matter to paint him in a malicious light.

The two also clashed over claims about a visit to Cancun, Mexico. Kim denied ever going to Cancun, saying his trip to Mexico was an official visit in his capacity as a vice president of the Korea Football Association to watch a national team match. He also announced plans to file a civil lawsuit against Park and the YouTube channel "Dalsune Live."

On Monday, Kim had already leveled a series of public allegations against Park, including questions about Park's participation in Korea Football Association events, dining and drinking engagements with association officials, and alleged involvement in the selection process for the head coach of the Soongsil University football team.
