Yeungnam University of Science and Technology expands inter-university technology exchange to develop future mobility talent

Yeungnam University of Science and Technology held a collegiate mobility technology exchange forum Friday at the convention hall on the first floor of Cheonma Square.

The event brought together students from four universities — Yeungnam University of Science and Technology's Department of Mechanical Engineering (smart convergence machinery advanced program), Yeungnam University, Kyungil University and Keimyung University — along with officials from the Korean Society of Automotive Engineers, representatives from mobility-related companies and faculty advisers. About 40 students and experts gathered to discuss the future of the mobility industry and the direction of technological development.

Participating students asked how the technologies they had studied and researched at their universities were being applied in actual industry settings, while company representatives and experts shared their views on the competencies and technological changes the industry demands.

Park Min-gyu, head of Yeungnam University of Science and Technology's Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation, said the university would continue expanding education and exchange programs that bring together universities, industry and local communities "so that students can actively respond to changes in the industrial field."
