Stray Kids' Lee Know donates W100m to Nepal flood victims

Stray Kids member Lee Know has extended a helping hand across borders to victims of the devastating floods in Nepal.

According to his agency JYP Entertainment on Friday, Lee Know donated 100 million won ($72,400) to World Vision, an international relief and development NGO, asking that the funds be used to support the lives and livelihoods of children and families affected by the Nepal floods.

The donation will go toward providing food and nutrition, temporary housing, and clean water and sanitation for flood-affected residents as they work to rebuild their daily lives.

"I hope my small gesture can be a source of strength for those going through difficult times," Lee Know said through his agency. "I sincerely hope that the flood victims and everyone working tirelessly on relief efforts at the scene can return to a peaceful everyday life as soon as possible."

The donation is the latest in a sustained pattern of giving. Lee Know began sponsoring children overseas through World Vision in 2014, and in 2024 donated 100 million won to a global food crisis response project, becoming the youngest member of World Vision's Bob Pierce Honor Club. Last year, he donated 100 million won to cover treatment costs for critically ill and pediatric patients at Samsung Medical Center, and another 100 million won to animal rescue group Nabiyasaranghae for stray cat relief — a combined 200 million won that reflected his deep solidarity with marginalized lives across society.

Lee Know has also joined his Stray Kids bandmates in donating to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association and World Vision for wildfire recovery efforts in 2025, and contributed to relief efforts following the Hong Kong fire, demonstrating wide-ranging commitment to positive impact.

Stray Kids topped the Billboard 200 with their mini album "THIS & THAT," released Aug. 7, achieving a record nine consecutive No. 1s on the chart.
