Girls' Generation's Hyoyeon, still living in group's dorm after 19 years, sleeps on the floor

Hyoyeon, a member of the K-pop group Girls' Generation, has revealed the dorm where she has lived for 19 years.

Her appearance was teased at the end of Saturday's episode of the MBC variety show "Jeonjeoktik Chamgyeon Sijeom" ("My Little Old Boy").

In the preview, Hyoyeon said she has been living in the Girls' Generation dorm since the group's debut and continues to stay there alone even after the other members moved out.

The dorm looked like an ordinary home. Hyoyeon surprised the show's hosts by revealing she sleeps on the floor rather than in a bed — because she does not have one. The contrast between her lying on the floor and her pet dog sleeping in a bed drew laughs.

A housekeeper who has looked after the dorm since Hyoyeon was in high school also appeared on the show. "If you stop living here, I'll stop too," the housekeeper told her, showing the close bond between the two. Host Jeon Hyun-moo acknowledged their relationship, calling them "family."
